Job SummaryThe Chief Medical Officer will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supervision to medical providers, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and best practices. This key position combines clinical and administrative expertise to drive quality improvement initiatives, optimize clinical workflows, and foster a supportive environment for medical providers.
Key Responsibilities:- Clinical Leadership & Oversight: Provide clinical guidance and supervision to medical providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
- Quality Improvement: Lead the implementation of evidence-based clinical protocols, workflows, and guidelines to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
- Direct Patient Care: Dedicate approximately 60% of time to direct patient care, delivering comprehensive, patient-centered primary care services to diverse populations.
- Education & Licensure: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, with unrestricted Ohio medical license or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in an FQHC, community health center, or comparable setting.
- Skills & Competencies: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, commitment to health equity, analytical mindset, and proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
