Compensation: USD $22.00 – $30.00 / hr

Shift Availability: Both Day and Night shifts are offered

This position is part of our Prepared Foods Division. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will collaborate across various departments within our facility, contributing to the overall performance of the company by ensuring the reliability of our equipment. Your role is essential in maintaining a safe environment for our team members through proactive maintenance and problem-solving. Our dynamic work setting ensures that no two days are alike, and we are committed to fostering the growth and skill enhancement of our Electrical Maintenance Technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance support to guarantee the safe and efficient operation of equipment and personnel with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Address emergency mechanical or electrical issues as they arise.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment challenges.
  • Utilize knowledge and troubleshooting skills effectively on all assigned production machinery.
  • Collaborate with all plant staff to achieve operational and individual objectives.
  • Reduce downtime caused by equipment malfunctions.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals accurately.
  • Work with hydraulic systems, pumps, and welding equipment.
  • Exhibit a foundational understanding of electrical theory, system wiring, and installation practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience is preferred (e.g., an industrial maintenance diploma or current enrollment in a technical program). An electrician or journeyman license is advantageous.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent; familiarity with hydraulics, welding, and compressed air systems is required.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency is necessary for logging information, processing work orders, and completing documentation. Ability to learn and use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication abilities and basic math skills are required to perform this role satisfactorily.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; frequent lifting of 20 lbs.
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours daily.
  • Comfortable working in confined and elevated spaces, walking, climbing, using ladders, operating lifts, bending, and stooping.
  • Frequent overhead work and repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling motions.
  • Work environment temperatures may range from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outdoor work may also be required.
  • Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.
