Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Tyson Foods Inc. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and maintenance practices to ensure the safe and effective operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance instructions/procedure manuals.
  • Work with pumps, hydraulics, and welding to maintain and repair equipment.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of electrical theory, system wiring, and installation.
  • Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-year industrial maintenance experience or equivalent experience.
  • Education: 1 year of maintenance experience education preferred (I.E. possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school) in lieu of experience.
  • Electrician license or journeyman license preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and basic math skills.
