We are seeking a highly qualified Faculty Member to join our Department of Host-Microbe Interactions at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a researcher with a strong background in host-microbe interactions to contribute to our mission of advancing cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct innovative research in host-microbe interactions, with a focus on microbial genomics, microbial pathogenesis, and host-pathogen-microbiome interactions.
  • Develop and lead a research program that aligns with the department's goals and priorities.
  • Mentor and train students, postdoctoral fellows, and other researchers in the department.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and clinicians within the hospital and externally to advance our understanding of host-microbe interactions and develop new treatments.
Requirements
  • MD, MD/PhD, or PhD degree in a relevant field.
  • Postdoctoral experience and a strong track record of research productivity.
  • Documented evidence of high-quality, impactful peer-reviewed publications.
  • Strong commitment to mentoring and training the next generation of researchers.
