Job Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in post-acute care facilities in nearby areas.
  • Be accountable for following and adhering to care plans for residents.
  • Check vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse, and provide regular reports to the broader nursing team.
  • Observe residents' conditions on an ongoing basis and alert supervising staff to any concerns or emergencies.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as toileting, grooming, personal hygiene, and feeding.
  • Perform tasks to provide a clean and sanitary environment for residents, including changing linens and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Act as a liaison between residents and healthcare staff, providing daily companionship and comfort.
  • Communicate with family members and other visitors, addressing their concerns and providing support.
  • Move residents safely and comfortably to and from exam tables, beds, and wheelchairs, repositioning them as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Current Connecticut Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Knowledge of medical terms and basic nursing care procedures.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with medical professionals and residents.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
