Audiologist - Veteran Disability Assessment Specialist

Job SummaryThis role involves applying your expertise in audiological evaluation and diagnosis to support Veterans' disability claims. As a medical disability examiner, you will gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and diagnose audiological conditions to determine their impact on Veterans' daily lives
- Gather and analyze medical and military records to inform your assessments
- Conduct thorough interviews with Veterans to understand their experiences and symptoms
- Perform face-to-face examinations to assess Veterans' hearing and balance abilities
- Develop a medical opinion on the likelihood that a Veteran's condition is related to their military service
- Doctorate Degree in Audiology (AuD) or related field
- Active and unrestricted audiologist license in the state where exams are performed
- ASHA certification or completion of a masters or doctorate level program at an ASHA certified institution
- A competitive salary of approximately $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience
- A 40-hour Monday-Friday day shift schedule with no nights or weekends
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
