Our proactive Investigators and Managers utilize advanced technology in our stores and distribution centers to positively influence our financial outcomes. We prioritize safety and respect while addressing theft incidents without compromising the client experience. Our culture emphasizes transparency, teamwork, and a shared commitment to our objectives.
As a Retail Security Investigator, your primary role will be to safeguard the store's assets against theft. Collaborating closely with the District Loss Prevention Manager, you will assist store leadership in formulating and implementing effective Store Shrink Plans.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the sales floor and utilizing CCTV systems to identify, observe, and deter individuals from engaging in external thefts.
- Complying with all applicable laws and Sephora policies regarding apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
- Creating thorough and timely reports related to theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.
- Providing testimony in court on behalf of the company when summoned for any criminal or civil case.
- Enhancing store loss prevention awareness by participating in store meetings, new hire training, and ongoing Beauty Advisor training.
- Offering support across multiple store locations if employed in a multi-store area.
- Investigating internal theft through various resources, including exception-based reporting, in collaboration with District Loss Prevention Managers.

- A minimum of 1 year of experience in asset protection or loss prevention within a retail setting.
- Flexible availability to work during peak retail hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication abilities.
- The capability to stand or walk the sales floor for the duration of your shift, with or without accommodation.
- Compliance with all licensing requirements as mandated by state or local jurisdiction.
- Adherence to Sephora's dress code and other policies outlined in the Sephora Employee Handbook.
