At Fairfax Behavioral Health, we have been a vital provider of mental health services in the Greater Seattle/Puget Sound region since 1930. Our commitment is to deliver exceptional patient care through a wide range of mental health and co-occurring addiction treatment services for both adolescents and adults.
- Kirkland Campus: A 157-bed standalone psychiatric facility providing a full spectrum of care.
- Everett Campus: A 30-bed adult psychiatric unit located at a major medical center.
- Monroe Campus: A 34-bed facility situated within a health system.
Position Highlights
- Manageable Patient Load: Average of 15 patients daily.
- Flexible Work Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday, day shifts.
- Work-Life Balance: Minimal weekend rounding and phone-only evening call coverage.
- Perform medical evaluations, initial history and physical exams within 24 hours of admission, follow-up assessments, and patient discharges.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to create and execute integrated treatment plans addressing both medical and mental health needs.
- Engage in treatment team discussions to provide insights on patients' medical conditions, explore treatment alternatives, and ensure cohesive care plans.
- Co-manage patients with complex medical conditions in collaboration with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals.
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle changes that can enhance overall health.
- Provide medical consultations as necessary across various units.
- Competitive salary range: $270,000-$310,000.

- Malpractice insurance coverage provided.
- 25 days of Paid Time Off annually.
- 5 days for Continuing Medical Education with reimbursement for related expenses.
- Full-time, employed position with W-2 status.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Eligible/Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Valid, unrestricted medical license in the state of Washington.
- Experience or interest in behavioral health and psychiatry is advantageous.
