We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team, providing expert psychiatric care to adolescents in our Intensive Outpatient/Partial Hospitalization (IOP/PHP) setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Ongoing Psychiatric Care: Conduct routine and emergency assessments, diagnostic clarification, treatment recommendations, and coordination of care for assigned clients.
- Collaborate with Treatment Team: Attend weekly Treatment Team Meetings, serve as liaison with staff Medical Director, Clinical Director, and other treatment team members.
- Document Patient Encounters: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient encounters through weekly progress notes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Assist with Utilization Reviews: Participate in utilization reviews for clients and provide cross-coverage to Psychiatry team cases when required.
- Communicate Effectively: Maintain excellent communication with other members of the clinical team, outpatient providers, and family members.
- Discharge Recommendations: Complete discharge recommendation assessments as part of collaborative discharge summaries within 24 hours.
- Collaborative Environment: Work in a collaborative environment, maintaining requirements of Physician Collaborative Agreements, if applicable.
- Doctorate in Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or psychiatric APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) required.
- Board Certified preferred.
- Experience in Child/Adolescent and/or Adult Psychiatry required.
- Licensed in the State for which you are applying required.
- Experience in a Residential Setting preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned unit.
