Position Overview:
This role is designated for the Sustainment Services Division.
  • Accommodation Services.

The responsibilities involve moderate physical activity, including the use of vacuum cleaners and dry mops; operating lightweight powered scrubbers and buffers; maintaining a standing, bending, and reaching posture; regularly lifting and disposing of waste; and occasionally transporting items weighing up to 20 pounds.

Key Responsibilities:
The organization’s mission is to provide lodging for transient personnel and their families. The primary function of this position is to execute various straightforward cleaning tasks related to accommodation operations.
Tasks include:
  • Cleaning guest rooms, hallways, staircases, and other designated lodging areas.
  • Utilizing brooms, mops, lightweight vacuum cleaners, and floor scrubbers for sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors.
  • Dusting, waxing, and polishing furniture and fixtures.
  • Sanitizing appliances, utensils, and dishes in guest rooms.
  • Emptying waste receptacles and maintaining cleanliness of common areas.
  • Washing accessible walls, windows, and blinds, using stepping stools when necessary.
  • Making beds and changing linens, as well as managing soiled and clean linen.
  • Updating room status and occupancy through the telephone system.
  • Disinfecting lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls, along with cleaning mirrors and sinks.
  • Reporting maintenance issues such as broken windows or leaks to the supervisor.
  • Maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying the supervisor when restocking is needed.
Conditions of Employment:
This position requires a background investigation with favorable results. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Legal Residents for a minimum of three years.
Qualifications:
Open to all applicants. Experience may include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles. No prior experience or training is necessary.
Applicants must be capable of following simple instructions and utilizing cleaning tools effectively. Physical capability to lift and empty waste containers and carry items up to 20 pounds is essential.
