Medical Care Specialist

DispatchHealth is seeking a skilled Medical Technician to join our team. As a Medical Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in the comfort of patients' homes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with physical exams, point-of-care testing, and data gathering
- Communicate with healthcare providers via messaging, video conference, and mobile devices
- Obtain patients' vital signs and assist in collecting patient data
- Facilitate physical exams and conduct diagnostic tests and treatments as requested by virtual providers
- Perform point-of-care lab testing and provide discharge instructions
- Responsible for equipment use, care, and allocation
- Restock and clean equipment at the end of each shift
- Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certification (EMT-P) in good standing
- Minimum one year of patient-facing experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- BLS, American Heart Association
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily while carrying equipment
- Strong customer service, communication, and technological skills
- Previous experience with comprehensive history gathering and documentation within an EMR
- Previous experience with basic procedural skills
- Cultural competency and ability to interact with patients and families
- Ability to work a varied schedule with evenings, holidays, and weekends
