ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineering
Ensures the effective and efficient functioning of all facility systems and equipment.
Conducts regular inspections throughout the premises to identify wear, malfunctions, or failures.
Diagnoses issues related to system malfunctions or failures to determine causes and pinpoint the source of the problem.
Performs repairs on equipment, systems, and devices as assigned, within the limits of individual expertise.
Proactively anticipates potential failures and takes necessary actions to prevent or minimize service interruptions.
Operates auxiliary supply systems as required.
Coordinates the shutdown and startup of utilities when necessary.
Collaborates with vendors and contractors for the maintenance and repair of systems and equipment.
Ensures adherence to OSHA, NFPA, and all relevant laws and regulations.
Assists in the development of emergency action plans for system failures.
Evaluates needs and supports preventative maintenance programs and system upgrades.
Operates equipment such as industrial trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, scrubbing machines, or other light power-driven tools.
Ensures proper management and processing of work orders.

Maintenance
Assists with facility cleaning and janitorial duties, including but not limited to, restroom cleaning and stocking; sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, stripping, carpet cleaning, window washing, and waxing as required.
Supports maintenance and repair of facility equipment, including cleaning chairs and repairing risers, tables, and other necessary equipment.
Assists with basic building repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting, wall repairs, carpet removal and replacement, equipment installations, changing light bulbs, debris removal, landscaping, and other general labor activities.
Helps with the setup and takedown of flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, telephones, and other equipment for successful event execution as needed.
Responsible for painting interior and exterior walls and building surfaces as required.

Other
Promotes and supports ASM Global's objectives and brand promise.
Participates in safety initiatives to achieve safety goals.
Assists the department and organization with various projects and special assignments as needed.
Provides assistance to clients and facility visitors as necessary.
Attends and engages in planning, training, and staff meetings.
Performs other assigned duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing vocational training or higher is preferred.

Experience:
In addition to the above educational requirement, 2 years of mechanical engineering experience, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, is preferred.

Painting experience required.

Requirements:

Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Applicants must possess and utilize general tools as required for basic facility maintenance and repairs.

Technology:
Working knowledge of MS Office programs, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, is required.
Experience with an automated Building Management System is preferred.

Salary Range:
$20.00 to $28.00 based on experience.
