Position Overview

As a Building Operations Technician, you will be responsible for executing general preventive and responsive maintenance as well as repairs of all facility-related systems. This role requires a blend of various trade skills including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, commercial lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, and operational management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution systems, plumbing, and building interior/exterior repairs.
  • Inspect HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure they operate within design specifications and meet client environmental standards.
  • Document maintenance and repair activities as necessary.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, coordinating additional support as required.
  • Analyze historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Safely operate a company vehicle, adhering to prescribed routes for timely service delivery.
  • Perform general maintenance and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years of proven experience as an HVAC technician.
  • Mobile maintenance experience is highly desirable.

Certifications

Preferred certifications in two or more of the following areas: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and Refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, plumbing, or carpentry, along with CFC Certification.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must meet the physical demands of the role, including the ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb, and lift/carry loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Skills and Abilities

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong organizational skills, an analytical mindset, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
