Senior Manager, Tax Accounting Methods and Credit Services Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Accounting Methods and Credit Services practice at KPMG. As a Senior Manager, you will play a key role in conducting research and development (R&D) tax credit consulting services, leading client interviews and discussions, and developing business and industry expertise.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead federal tax consulting services, including accounting method assessments, design and implementation of products related to revenue and expense recognition, capitalized items, fixed assets, and inventories.
- Communicate directly with client personnel, including operations, finance, accounting, and engineering, and sustain excellent client relationships.
- Manage and implement multiple projects simultaneously, including client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering, and coordination of KPMG and client resources.
- Assist in new business development, including add-on business, while sustaining excellent client service by networking within the firm and building on existing relationships outside of the firm.
- Liaise with members of KPMG's National Washington Tax practice on various technical matters.
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in a public accounting firm or corporate taxation experience, including experience in accounting methods and credit services.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
- Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access, and experience performing internet research.
- Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams with the ability to travel to client locations.
