Aerotek is seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Technician with a competitive pay rate of $21/hr.
Position Overview:
As a vital member of our production team, you will be responsible for the installation of mechanical and electrical components on various machine tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Install a diverse range of parts and sub-assemblies onto machine tools as part of the manufacturing workflow.
- Interpret and analyze assembly schematics for new machinery and components.
- Ensure all necessary components for complete assembly are available at the designated assembly site.
- Align, adjust, and modify sheet metal parts to guarantee proper integration with the machine.
- Install electrical components and necessary parts tailored for specific machinery.
- Conduct visual inspections of machines for aesthetic concerns, reporting any defects such as poor welds, grinder marks, or paint blemishes to the supervisor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Operate cranes to lift and position heavy items.
- Utilize walk-behind forklifts for transporting components.
- Employ various hand tools, including drills, grinders, and pneumatic tools, during the assembly process.
- Complete required check sheets accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist in training new team members as necessary.
