Job Summary:

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist at Baptist Memorial Health Care, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of laboratory results. Your primary responsibility will be to perform and report laboratory procedures, utilizing your laboratory skills to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Receives, identifies, and prioritizes specimens to ensure accurate and timely test processing.

Performs and reports requested laboratory procedures, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

Conducts quality control, proficiency testing, and routine instrument maintenance to ensure the highest level of accuracy and reliability.

Evaluates patient identification to reduce analytical and post-analytical errors and adverse patient outcomes.

Assesses, evaluates, and draws appropriate conclusions from laboratory results.

Requirements:

State licensure and/or national registration or certification in accordance with current Federal and/or State regulations.

Basic computer literacy and ability to operate laboratory equipment and software.
