Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist

Job Summary:

The Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist position is responsible for providing accurate, precise, and timely patient test results for the diagnosis and management of human illness. This role utilizes automation and computerization, as well as manual methods, to ensure quality control and instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The position handles various body fluids, including blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum, urine, and spinal fluid, which may be contaminated with infectious diseases such as HIV and other blood-borne pathogens.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • ASCP - American Society for Clinical Pathology Certification (or equivalent)
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Experience in an automated clinical laboratory
Work Environment:

This position is a night shift role with 24 scheduled weekly hours in the Transfusion Services department.
