Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. As a Radiation Oncology Physicist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and safety of radiation therapy treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement techniques for standardizing and calibrating imaging and therapy equipment.
  • Perform treatment planning for special cases and provide consultation to physicians as needed.
  • Validate the accuracy of treatment plans and provide consultation to physicians per orders.
  • Perform acceptance testing, measurements, commissioning, and ongoing quality assurance testing of linear accelerators, treatment planning systems, and physics equipment.
  • Coordinate treatment planning processes and other procedures as indicated.
  • Oversee quality control measures and collate and document all aspects of physics services.
  • Participate in performance improvement and radiation safety activities.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment and the overall team effort of the department.
  • Complete assigned goals.
Requirements
  • Master's Level Board Eligible in medical physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
  • ABR Certified in Radiation Oncology with a minimum 2 years experience in a progressive cancer center/facility.
  • Advanced computer skills.
