We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Physicist to lead our Radiation Oncology department at Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the physics and dosimetry area, developing techniques for standardizing and calibrating imaging and therapy equipment, and performing treatment planning for special cases.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the physics and dosimetry area.
- Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure accurate and safe treatment delivery.
- Collaborate with staff to develop and implement treatment planning processes and other procedures.
- Participate in Performance Improvement and radiation safety activities.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and the overall team effort of the department.
- Master's degree in Medical Physics or a related field.
- ABR certification and 5 years of experience in a hospital-based Radiation Oncology program.
- Previous experience as a Chief Physicist or in a leadership role.
- Advanced computer skills and excellent communication and leadership skills.
