One Medical is a leading healthcare organization that is revolutionizing the way patients receive medical care. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team as a Patient Care Specialist.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care and support to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
- Perform and assist with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs.
- Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization.
- Continuously care for patients beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties.
- Master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to interact with team members and complete daily work.
- Active Medical Assistant certification from NHA, AAMA, NCCT, or the AMT.
- Graduated from an accredited postsecondary Medical Assistant program or completion of relevant Medical Assistant training by any branch of the armed forces.
- At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously.
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.
- A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care.
- A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks.
