The Middlesex Corporation is a leading heavy civil construction company that specializes in building and reconstructing highways, bridges, marine, rail, and transit facilities. We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team.

Job Summary: As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of heavy construction equipment. You will ensure that all duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with and actively promote all Safety policies and procedures, including reporting all accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Troubleshoot and repair problems to construction equipment, both on and off road, small and large.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment as needed.
  • Some minor welding may be required.
  • Responsible for filling out daily work orders accurately and turning in approved parts request forms.
  • Field service repairs on an as-needed basis.
  • Responsible for keeping a clean and safe work area and using proper PPE at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working on large and small construction equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on set schedules.
  • Detail-oriented and able to adapt to changing schedules.
  • Must have own tools and possess a valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
