Position Overview:
Xanitos is seeking Full-Time Floor Technicians for the 2nd Shift. The Floor Technician will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various locations within a healthcare environment. Responsibilities may vary based on client needs and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor assigned areas for cleanliness, ensuring all surfaces are free of debris.
2. Thoroughly clean corners, edges, and baseboards in designated areas.
3. Dust and mop hard floor surfaces, including moving objects as necessary.
4. Remove marks and scuffs from floors.
5. Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals or equipment for damp mopping floors.
Project Duties:
1. Operate floor machines for assigned project work.
2. Burnish floors using high-speed machines as directed.
3. Scrub and strip floors as required.
4. May perform additional duties as an Area Cleaner or Waste Disposal Technician.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the janitorial field is advantageous.
- Medical cleaning experience is a plus.
- Floor Technician experience is required.
- Successful candidates will undergo a medical examination, background screening, and drug testing.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this role include regular standing, walking, and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Candidates must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods and may be exposed to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.
Work Environment:
Employees may encounter fumes or airborne particles and will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts. The typical noise level in the work environment is quiet.
