About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Preschool Educator Assistant to join our team in West Town. In this role, you will partner with Lead Preschool Teachers to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. You will actively contribute to their education, care, and overall development, ensuring they meet DCFS licensing, NAEYC, and Head Start performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Lead Preschool Teacher to develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum guidelines.
  • Actively participate in classroom activities, guiding children through learning experiences and fostering their social-emotional growth.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, respected, and encouraged to learn.
  • Assist with daily routines such as snack time, playtime, and bathroom breaks, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Illinois Gateways ECE credential at level 4.
  • Bilingual/bicultural Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Successful completion of criminal, child abuse and neglect, and sex offender background checks.
