About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our culinary leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment for our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement regular and modified menus according to established guidelines and corporate programs.
  • Ensure that all food preparation, presentation, and portioning meet standardized recipes and quality standards.
  • Train and develop kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
  • Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
  • Manage inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines and ensure availability of necessary products.
  • Make decisions regarding utilization of leftover food products, adhering to company guidelines.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary arts or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training.
  • Extensive catering experience and high-volume, complex foodservice operations experience are highly desirable.
  • Hands-on chef experience and comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends are essential.
  • Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
