Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct general maintenance and repairs on various equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and buildings.
  • Perform routine upkeep of target ranges and associated facilities under minimal supervision.
  • Utilize tractors, lawn mowers, and power tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Manage the removal and sorting of ordnance debris and scrap materials.
  • Engage in painting, welding, carpentry, and minor electrical repairs as required.
  • Execute grass cutting and weed management across all sites.
  • Maintain the air-conditioning system and replace light fixtures as needed.
  • Assist in the upkeep of contractor and government vehicles through minor repairs.
  • Support HVAC and Ground Power Mechanics in their maintenance tasks.
  • Disassemble machinery for part replacement and perform cleaning and lubrication of machine components.
  • Address plumbing issues including clearing drains and replacing fixtures.
  • Facilitate the movement of range assets to support operational missions.
  • Provide janitorial services as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety and environmental standards, ensuring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately.
  • Be prepared for travel as required by the job.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in general maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong customer service focus.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
  • Valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of a drug/alcohol test and background check may be required.
