Job Title: Senior Security Controls Assessor

Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Compliance Verification: Conduct thorough verification and validation of security compliance for all information systems, products, and components to ensure adherence to established security requirements.
  • Compliance Analysis: Analyze design specifications, documentation, configuration practices, and operational procedures to identify potential security vulnerabilities and non-compliance issues.
  • Identification and Mitigation: Provide identification of non-compliance of security requirements and possible mitigations to requirements that are not in compliance, ensuring the implementation of effective security controls.
  • On-Site Evaluations: Conduct on-site evaluations to assess the security posture of information systems and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Security Requirements Validation: Validate the security requirements of the information system, ensuring alignment with established standards and regulations.
  • Vulnerability Assessment: Perform a comprehensive vulnerability assessment of the system, identifying potential risks and weaknesses.
  • Penetration Testing Coordination: Coordinate penetration testing activities to simulate real-world attack scenarios and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Comprehensive Report: Provide a comprehensive verification and validation report (certification report) for the information system, highlighting security compliance status and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Twelve years of related work experience, with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering may be substituted for four years of experience.
  • Skills: Experience in security or system engineering in five or more areas, including Telecommunications concepts, operating systems, databases/DBMS, middleware, applications, web servers, SANS/Netaps, Active Directory, firewalls, and controlled interfaces.
  • Certification: This is a CWIP Billet per DoD Directive 8570-1 and must meet specified certification requirements defined and documented by the TTO COR.
