Mechanical Design Engineer

SAIC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our team at our customer site in North Charleston, SC.
Job Summary:The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing static and dynamic design and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment, and packages. The successful candidate will conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs, direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication, and provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation.

- Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication.
- Provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation.
- Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
- Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
- Contributes to completion of routine technical tasks.
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience.
- Must have design experience.
- Must have working knowledge 3D CAD or AutoCAD.
- Must be highly motivated and have excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently with changing deadlines and priorities.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- CREO & SolidWorks experience.
