Socio-Therapist, Enhanced Family Foster Care Specialist

About the Role:

Graham Windham is seeking a skilled Socio-Therapist to join our Enhanced Family Foster Care program. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with children and youth who require a higher level of care than a regular foster home can provide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized behavioral and treatment plans for each child, utilizing the Antecedent, Behavior, and Consequences (ABC) framework.
  • Participate in quarterly Interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings to ensure comprehensive care and support for each youth.
  • Monitor and record medication distribution, as well as participate in educational planning, including IEP evaluations and obtaining report cards and annual test scores.
  • Provide weekly face-to-face child contact, including visits to the foster home, school, and community, to promote positive relationships and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and travel within the NYC Metropolitan area.
