As a Licensed Acupuncture Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various health conditions through the application of acupuncture techniques. Your role will involve utilizing needles and electrical currents to alleviate symptoms and promote overall wellness.
Daily ResponsibilitiesYour typical day will include:
- Assessing patients' medical histories and physical conditions to formulate diagnoses based on traditional Oriental medicine principles.
- Applying moxibustion techniques to enhance treatment outcomes.
- Integrating Western medical practices into patient assessments and collaborating with healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
- Dispensing herbal remedies and educating patients on their usage, including dosages, treatment duration, and potential side effects.
- Creating tailored treatment plans that address individual patient needs.
- Gathering detailed health and lifestyle information from patients to inform treatment strategies.
Successful Acupuncturists possess a variety of skills, including:
