Job SummaryAt WorkerBee's Staffing, we're seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for rebuilding, troubleshooting, and performing repairs on locomotive engines. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of diesel engines and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.Key Responsibilities
  • Rebuild and repair locomotive engines, including changing injectors, blowers, turbos, power assemblies, main generators, engines, cams, bearings, governors, and other components.
  • Work in a shop environment, with occasional travel and outdoor work with mobile equipment.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex engine issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and other tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with diesel engines, preferably in a locomotive engine environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or associate's degree preferred.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and ability to pass background screening.
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, and to travel overnight as needed.
  • Physical stamina to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
