The Aircraft Ground Services Specialist (AGSS) is a vital customer service position responsible for various tasks that ensure the safe delivery of requested services for general aviation aircraft, crews, and passengers.
An AGSS routinely operates ground support equipment and utilizes knowledge of company policies and procedures to deliver efficient and exceptional service to clients and guests at the fixed base operation (FBO).
Key Responsibilities
Individuals in this role are expected to:
- Collaborate as part of a team to provide safe and efficient aircraft services while fostering a welcoming environment for clients and guests.
- Work closely with coworkers, customers, clients, vendors, and aircraft crews to meet service needs, ensuring effective communication through various channels to accomplish operational tasks.
- Perform aircraft services as directed by management or clients, including fueling, de-icing, lavatory services, ground power, potable water services, parking, marshalling, catering delivery, and towing.
- Operate and maneuver ground support equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing vehicles, ground power units, tugs, and stair trucks.
- Promote and deliver general aviation services to crew members, clients, and other guests.
- Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramp operations.
- Transport passengers and/or cargo using shuttle vehicles.
- Load and unload luggage and cargo from aircraft and the FBO.
- Manage fuel handling, including quality control, inventory, and accurate documentation.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, demonstrating a positive attitude and courtesy to all.
- Understand and enforce all operational, safety, and customer service protocols.
- Comply with security protocols as mandated by the company and the airport.
- Create accurate records of time worked and services performed.
- Follow emergency response procedures in critical situations.
- Recommend enhancements to company standards and practices to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job RequirementsTo qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid state driver's license; a commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required based on local regulations.
- The ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and maintain airport security badge issuance.
- Legal authorization to work in the country of employment.
- Successful completion of company training programs.
- Ability to pass a color vision test for fuel inspection.
- Proficiency in using computers and email.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Experience in aviation, customer service, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
