Civil Engineer Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer Project Manager to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, and delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects in both private and public sectors of land development
  • Train and mentor staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles
  • Occasionally assist with design aspects of projects using Civil 3D
  • Maintain ongoing client relationships, pursue new professional connections, and seek new project opportunities
  • Prepare technical sections of project proposals and participate in interview presentations
  • Plan, organize, direct, and control project team activities, including reviewing and supervising technical aspects of work
  • Define project scope, budget, and schedule, and ensure quality control
  • Be the primary client contact for each project and communicate project requirements to all team members
  • Coordinate staff resources with other Project Managers and Principals throughout the company
  • Participate in contract negotiations, approve client billing, and secure contract amendments for changes to scope and fees
  • Meet or exceed group and individual performance goals
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience working in Civil Engineering (Land Development/Site Design)
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Strong knowledge/background with Civil 3D
  • Familiarity with local codes and regulations
