Job Title: Painter/Drywaller

We are seeking a skilled Painter/Drywaller with at least 3-5 years of experience in drywall finishing and painting in a residential construction setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform painting duties including preparing surfaces, selecting appropriate paints, and applying paint to achieve desired finishes.
  • Utilize knowledge of construction painting, door hanging, drywall, and fixture installation.
  • Repairing/Filling joints, holes, and cracks.
  • Covers trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep free of paint.
  • Applies various finishes to buildings, rooms, or other structures, including primers or sealers.
  • Tapes, floats, and textures walls and ceilings, as needed.
  • Takes photos of jobs assigned.
  • Follows the project manager's instructions and work order/job scope directions.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, or by other means necessary.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License/acceptable driving record.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 3-5 years of proven experience in drywall finishing and painting in a residential construction setting.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and a criminal background check (No Felonies or Major Misdemeanors).
  • Must be willing to be the on call one week of each month to respond to emergency calls after hours and on weekends.
  • Must reside within a 30-mile radius of the Swartz office in Lima, OH.
  • Must have your own painting/drywall hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • General construction knowledge and proficiency with hand and power tools.
