Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Ridgecrest. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting the community, and upholding the values of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime, and to enforce laws and regulations.
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to the public.
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to solve crimes.
  • Make arrests and serve warrants as necessary.
  • Participate in community policing initiatives to build relationships with the public and promote public safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment and vehicles.
Requirements
  • Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Physical fitness: Must be able to pass a P.O.S.T. approved medical and psychological exam.
  • Experience: Completion of P.O.S.T. approved basic academy and/or prior experience as a law enforcement officer in California.
