We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Acquisition Specialist to lead the pursuit of IT services opportunities within U.S. Government Civilian agencies, particularly those engaged in scientific missions enabled by IT.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing, managing, and winning strategic opportunities, working collaboratively with business development, proposal, and technical teams.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the capture process for assigned opportunities, from opportunity identification through proposal submission.
  2. Develop capture plans, win strategies, and competitive positioning tailored to agency missions and requirements.
  3. Manage all aspects of the capture lifecycle, including bid/no-bid decisions, teaming arrangements, and proposal development.
  4. Identify and engage with Government Civilian agencies focused on scientific missions (e.g., Department of Commerce, NASA, USGS, Space Force and other federal satellite and heavy data management agencies).
  5. Build and maintain relationships with key government decision-makers and industry stakeholders.
  6. Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive intelligence.
  7. Identify, engage, and negotiate with potential partners (large primes and small businesses) to build winning teams.
  8. Develop and manage relationships with subcontractors and partners to enhance proposal competitiveness.
  9. Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to align solutions with customer needs.
  10. Work closely with proposal managers, business development leads, and technical teams to ensure proposals meet customer expectations and highlight company strengths.
  11. Lead internal reviews and facilitate discussions with leadership to ensure alignment and resources.
  12. Ensure capture strategies and activities align with corporate objectives, compliance requirements, and customer regulations.
  13. Track and report capture progress, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
  14. Stay updated on IT trends, government contracting policies, and scientific mission requirements within civilian agencies.
  15. Leverage knowledge of IT services such as cloud solutions, data management, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture to guide capture strategies.
