Job Summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Vascular Technologist to join our team at D-H Lebanon-MHMH. As a key member of our vascular lab, you will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostic imaging procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging Expertise: Perform all diagnostic vascular exams at an advanced level, recognizing appropriate indications and distinguishing between normal and abnormal findings.
  • Exam Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and enter preliminary exam reports in the vascular lab database, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate critical test results to providers, interact with providers to ensure appropriate exams are performed, and exhibit an understanding of CPT codes.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Quality Assurance: Ensure equipment failures are reported and documented, learn new machines with minimal oversight, and maintain a high level of proficiency with all lab equipment.
  • Quality Improvement and Education: Participate in quality assurance and quality control programs, plan and execute improvement efforts, and resolve issues. Seek and develop new measures to improve patient care using a multi-disciplinary approach.
  • Teaching and Research: Participate in teaching programs, including training junior vascular technologists, students, residents, and fellows, as well as presentations in staff meetings. Participate in research projects, including clinical trials within the Vascular Surgery Department.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree from an accredited vascular ultrasound program or any allied health discipline.
  • Experience: Three years of experience in duplex ultrasound technology and non-invasive vascular exams.
  • Certifications: Certified through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
