About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Related Management Company (RMC). As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our affordable housing properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep properties in good working order
  • Complete service requests in a timely manner, interacting with residents and ensuring their needs are met
  • Coordinate completion of resident and management service requests, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Prepare vacant units for occupancy, adhering to established timeframes
  • Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues promptly
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to prepare sites for inspections
  • Maintain workplace safety policies and standards, including current COVID-19 guidelines
  • Participate in rotating on-call responsibilities for emergency maintenance repairs
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of maintenance/facilities experience, with a preference for affordable housing experience
  • Active Driver's License and reliable method of transportation
  • Ability to work emergency on-call rotation as needed and lift up to 50 lbs, with the ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
  • Commitment to exceeding expectations by providing exceptional service
