About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician I to join our team at Penske. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Work with our team to ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and meet safety standards
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques
Requirements
  • 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications preferred
  • Valid CDL driver's license required; willingness to obtain air brake certification
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
