Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Supervise, organize, and train warehouse employees to ensure peak efficiency and productivity.
  • Operational Goal Setting and Monitoring: Establish, monitor, and manage operational goals to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement effective warehouse operations processes, including product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory accuracy, and lot code rotation.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
  • Technology and Innovation: Serve as an operations liaison for new technology innovation and implementation.
  • Warehouse Layout and Design: Develop and implement effective warehouse layout that accounts for product flow, equipment, and product handling systems.
  • Process Improvement and Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction, and evaluate and prioritize potential improvements based on gains and required effort.
  • Department Budgeting: Develop, audit, and control department budget to ensure operational costs are within plan.
  • Logistics and Shipping: Coordinate domestic and international shipments, and communicate with sales, customer solutions, supply chain, and operations teams on shipment status and urgency.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; bachelor's degree in logistics or business administration preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a similar role required.
  • Skills: Experience in inventory management, delivery/logistics, regulatory compliance, productivity improvement, planning, and organization; familiarity with standardized goals and metrics, measurement of quantifiable KPIs, and performance-based incentive programs; advanced computer skills, including Excel, and ability to analyze large amounts of data and organize information to make/implement changes.
  • Software and Systems: Familiarity with TMS and WMS systems, including SAP.
  • Personal Qualities: Data-driven, fact-based decision maker; strong collaboration skills and high integrity required.
