Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian PRN to join our team at AdventHealth Daytona Beach. As a Clinical Dietitian PRN, you will play a vital role in providing nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans for patients, taking into account their medical program goals and objectives.
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and evaluations to identify patients with nutritional risk and provide expert nutrition care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families, addressing their unique needs and learning styles.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition research and guidelines, applying evidence-based practices to patient care.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (AND).
  • Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or related area required.
  • One year experience in acute care setting preferred.
  • Experience using Cerner electronic medical record.
  • Registered dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Florida Department of Health dietitian/nutritionist license.
