Basic Qualifications:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Design and specify cutting-edge electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance initiatives through comprehensive training and technical assistance. Develop process specifications, machine parameters, and strategies for minimizing waste and maximizing operational efficiency. Lead capital projects from the strategic planning phase through procurement, installation, testing, and transition to operations. Benchmark industry-leading facilities and implement top-tier processes, equipment, and workflows.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design control systems for machine tools, encompassing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
Select capital equipment for manufacturing operations.
Enhance existing machine tools to boost uptime, elevate quality, and increase productivity.
Provide engineering support for production equipment and processes, including guidance for maintenance teams.
Establish cost-saving initiatives to align with overall plant objectives.
Advise on enhancements to preventative maintenance programs.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineers for ongoing improvement initiatives.
Authorize and approve modifications to machine tool programs.
Train staff on new technologies and manufacturing methodologies.
Adhere to and uphold Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.
Participate in teams and champion team-driven activities.
Monitor and document cost savings.

PFMEAs:
Understand the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as necessary.
Other responsibilities may be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

This position necessitates technical expertise in machine functionality, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.

Technical knowledge in mechanical design is essential.
Proficient abilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are required. Strong interpersonal skills are vital.
Mentor and cultivate maintenance personnel.
Assist other facilities with technical challenges.
The applicant must be capable of self-managing assigned project tasks.
Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
