Vets Hired is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Detention Officer to join our team. As a Detention Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and the individuals within them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspections and Cell Searches: Conduct regular inspections of cells and common areas to ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
- Crisis Resolution: Respond to and resolve crises such as fights, fires, and medical emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
- Reporting and Documentation: Complete accurate and detailed reports of incidents, including witness statements and evidence collected.
- Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Age: At least 18 years of age.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen (exceptions may apply).
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license or state-issued ID.
- Vision and Hearing: Correctable to 20/20 vision, normal color and peripheral vision, and correctable normal audible range in both ears.
- Testing and Evaluation: Pass pre-employment testing, including a written exam and physical agility test.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be required to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
