Job Description

The Ecommerce Platform Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of global ecommerce platforms, ensuring smooth functionality and user experience. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver a holistic and frictionless experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day global operations of ecommerce platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
  • Develop and manage documentation for global ecommerce roadmaps, governance, business rules, and standards.
  • Build and share global pipeline status reports for each release.
  • Establish permission/access criteria and govern access.
  • Lead and project manage ecommerce enhancements and roadmap initiatives by translating business objectives and design specifications into actionable user stories and backlog items.
  • Manage operations and timelines for development teams and other business teams associated with the platform.
  • Work with Quality Assurance (QA) teams to define acceptance criteria and coordinate testing efforts to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to implement and manage integrations.
  • Assist with developing and executing ecommerce strategies to drive traffic, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
  • Meet with internal stakeholders to understand their needs/requirements and educate on platform capabilities.
  • Assist in integrating ecommerce roadmap enhancements to fully utilize the tool for best customer experience.
  • Work with Product, Finance, and Logistic teams to manage event and product listings, descriptions, pricing, and inventory.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date event and product information are displayed on the platform.
  • Monitor best practices around user interface/user experience (UI/UX) for ecommerce.
  • Work with Design teams and others to implement a UI/UX that enhances customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure a seamless, efficient customer experience on the platform.
  • Prioritize customer feedback by identifying pain points and collaborating with customer-facing teams for continuous improvement.
  • Utilize data analytics to gain insights into customer behavior and buying behaviors.
  • Identify trends and recommend actionable strategies based on data analysis.
  • Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, marketing, or business administration.
  • Five years of experience working with ecommerce platforms.
  • Three years of experience working with sprint planning and boards (Azure, JIRA, etc.).
  • Three years of experience working with Agile methods and practices.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce and how online businesses operate, including sales channels, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, such as data protection, consumer rights, and online payment security.
  • Knowledge of basic web development and design.
  • Knowledge of data analytics to track and interpret site traffic and sales metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Optimizely Commerce Connect.
  • Experience working with business-to-business (B2B) ecommerce.
