Key Responsibilities

As the Principal Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for the architectural integrity of lululemon's enterprise payment systems, fraud detection technologies, in-store commerce solutions, and cloud service integrations that enhance the omni-channel guest experience. Collaborate with fellow architects and functional leaders to ensure clarity and completeness in all designs for effective execution. Tackle design challenges and guide engineers and architects through the delivery and implementation phases. Serve as a pivotal technical leader, fostering alignment and clarity across diverse stakeholder groups. Provide architectural delivery support across multiple teams within a delivery unit and actively facilitate solution alignment among Architects, Senior Architects, Senior Software Engineers, Lead Engineers, Program & Project Managers, and Product, Business & Engineering leadership. Act as the design lead for complex or mission-critical projects that necessitate cross-team collaboration at the Director level and above. Take ownership of architectural designs, breaking down tasks for Architects and Senior Architects, while also delegating to Software Engineers and Senior Software Engineers as needed. Contribute architectural insights during cross-functional roadmap development to ensure product and business solutions align with the overarching technology strategy.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, accompanied by a minimum of seven years of progressive experience in designing and developing enterprise solutions on cloud-based architectures or a combination of cloud and on-premises systems.

• At least four years of experience in delivering or architecting retail commerce technologies, encompassing in-store commerce, fraud protection, and payment systems.

• Four years of experience in the following areas (which may be acquired concurrently):

- Designing security threat models related to payment systems and in-store commerce technologies.

- Creating and implementing cloud-native AWS solutions, including container services, serverless architectures, high availability, fault tolerance, database services, data integration, and big data processing and storage concepts.

- Architecting and implementing highly distributed and secure multi-region cloud-based APIs and backend integrations.

• Four years of experience in the following technologies (which may be gained concurrently):

- Terraform, Jenkins, Kafka, Containerization (Docker), Apigee.

- Dynatrace, Grafana, and Splunk.

Compensation and Benefits

At lululemon, our compensation philosophy is rooted in recognizing exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this role is between $207,000 and $227,000 annually, with base pay determined by market location and influenced by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
