Job Title: Principal Architect, Application Development

At Russell Investments, we're seeking a highly skilled Principal Architect to join our Digital Marketing Technology team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for architecting software solutions that drive business growth and improve financial security for our clients.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. As a Principal Architect, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading the solutioning and delivery of large projects with multiple underlying systems and deliverables
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the business and working across multiple application development teams to align system architectures with high-level business and technology strategy
  • Anticipating how different solutions will ultimately impact the business and working with business partners to explain the tradeoffs and make optimal decisions
  • Contribute to the technology roadmap by matching short-term and long-term goals with specific technology solutions
  • Deliver technical consulting and leadership, identifying and implementing new uses of technology to help the business meet its strategic objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent work or education-related experience
  • Minimum 12 years of software development experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an architect or similar role
  • Advanced technical expertise and 8 or more years practical experience in.NET Framework, C#, SQL Server, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
