Job Title: Direct Support Staff

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Staff to join our team at Network Human Services. As a Direct Support Staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to residents, including activities of daily living, socialization, and development of meaningful interpersonal relationships.
  • Participate in routine residence maintenance, including upkeep of the residence and surrounding areas.
  • Document resident and residence electronic health records, including periodic status assessments, daily task analysis charts, and ongoing inter-staff communication.
  • Participate in meal preparation and other household duties as needed.
  • Attend staff in-service and staff meetings to stay up-to-date on policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Adhere to all community residence policies and procedures, including confidentiality and resident rights.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a positive and supportive living environment.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medication certification and First Aid/CPR training required.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to lift, use adaptive equipment, and use approved physical restraint techniques as needed.
  • Valid Connecticut Driver's License and eligibility for Network Human Services' auto insurance.

Work Schedule:

Part-time, over 24 hours/week, with varying shifts including evenings and overnights.
