Job Summary

The Direct Support Staff is a vital member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional care and support to residents in our community residence. As a Direct Support Staff, you will be responsible for all aspects of resident care, including daily living activities, socialization, and development of meaningful relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, socialization, and development of meaningful relationships.
  • Participate in routine residence maintenance, including cleaning, laundry, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Document resident and residence electronic health records, including periodic status assessments, daily task analysis charts, and other records as directed.
  • Participate in ongoing staff in-service and staff meetings to ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all community residence policies and procedures, including resident rights and other relevant legislation.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Obtain and maintain medication certification.
  • Good interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
  • Maturity, good judgment, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Must be proficient in First Aid, CPR, PMT, Abuse/Neglect, and other resident-specific medical and habilitative needs.

Work Schedule:

Saturday 8:00am- 8:00pm, Part-Time Under (12 hours/week)
