Role Overview

Are you a proactive student with a keen interest in machine learning, Generative AI, and cybersecurity? Join our innovative team as a Gen AI - Information Security Engineer Intern. This position is designed for individuals with a solid foundation in machine learning and Generative AI, eager to apply these skills to strengthen ServiceNow's security framework.

As an Information Security Engineer Intern, your responsibilities will include:

Independent Project (50%):

  • Lead a self-directed initiative aimed at developing cutting-edge tools utilizing machine learning to enhance ServiceNow's security architecture.
  • Strive for prototype-level deliverables that demonstrate creativity and technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate security improvements.

Additional Duties (50%):

  • Engage with peer teams in Security and Generative AI at ServiceNow to explore various real-world applications of Generative AI.
  • Participate in activities such as accompanying our Purple Team engagements, taking part in new service security assessments, or joining threat modeling sessions to create comprehensive threat models for emerging services.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited university, pursuing a Master's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong theoretical and practical understanding of machine learning, neural networks, and Generative AI.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Analytical mindset for problem-solving, abstract reasoning, and offensive security strategies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices is advantageous.
  • Experience with personal or academic projects focused on security is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
