Position Overview:
The role involves assembling vacuum pumps and associated components, conducting tests, and calibrating units to adhere to specified tolerances and product standards. Responsibilities include interpreting, documenting, and communicating results to relevant departments, as well as completing the final assembly of certain components onto pump systems. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble a range of pumps and associated components
- Conduct testing to ensure compliance with tolerances and product specifications
- Uphold the company's stringent quality assurance standards
- Document information on work orders as required
- Operate with minimal supervision
- Perform specific visual and measurement inspection checks during the process
- Compile, report, and analyze inspection result data
- Conduct quality audits as instructed
- Propose modifications to inspection methods as necessary
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in measuring and handling a variety of complex components
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently without constant oversight
- Experience with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
- Mathematical skills for data analysis
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
- Computer skills for data collection, record-keeping, and reporting
- Effective interpersonal communication abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in final assembly inspection processes
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret written documents
- Ability to interpret technical charts and drawings
- Capable of responding professionally to common inquiries
