Job Summary:
The Fabrication Shop Assistant is primarily responsible for supporting Equipment Operators on various types of machines within the Fabrication Shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its Core Values.
- Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Experience and knowledge of operating saws and other Fabrication Shop machinery.
- Follows prescribed safety standards and regulations.
- Performs all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
Requirements:
- Prior related experience and/or training in a fabrication or machine shop environment.
- Ability to operate tools and equipment applicable to position.
- Working knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Ability to interact and communicate well with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Obtains and maintains an active status within the drug testing program.
- Work involves standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Work may include frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping and occasional climbing on to equipment and/or trailers.
- Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying objects weighing a minimum of 35 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds, with assistance, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment, or tools.
- Occasional overtime may be required to ensure project deadlines are met.
